Free Acai Pills – What Companies Don’t Want You to Know

March 2, 2011
By

Search for any information on the acai berry in Google and you’ll be swarmed with websites offering free acai pills. It’s very easy to get lured into this marketing campaign. After all, what would you lose? A mere .95 for shipping and handling? That’s nothing, right?

You could not be more wrong! Every website that offers you free acai berry capsules has a fine print somewhere that binds you to an agreement you would not be happy about.

So before you give them your credit card, read this important information first so you’ll know what you’re getting yourself into.

The Fine Print

So where’s this fine print, you ask? Well, like all fine print, it’s hidden somewhere  on that free offer page – an agreement so unnoticeable a lot of people actually miss it.

By clicking that Send Me A Free offer button and giving them your credit card number, you are “supposedly” agreeing to a subscription. This is a monthly subscription to a bottle of acai berry pills and maybe, a fitness program. And here’s an even bigger suprise. This bottle of supplement? It usually costs about /month.

Many who have availed of this free offer do not expect this. So when the company automatically gets from their credit card the following month, it becomes a very big surprise.

But that’s only the start of their problems.

As soon as they call the company to cancel the subscription, many have reached customer service that was always busy or worse, non existent. Those who have eventually cancelled have spent lots and lots of hours calling thereby wasting so much time and escalating tension. Some have even resorted to cancelling their credit cards as the acai company they bought it from just kept on getting money from their credit cards month after month.

So this is my advice to you. If you really want to avail of this free offers for acai pills, then go ahead. But beware of the risks you’re taking.

I’ve done lots of research about where to buy acai and found out that many companies are scams. I’m glad I’ve found a reputable company, Click Here to know the legitimate acai companies I’ve found.

An Unbiased Third Party Review Of Monavie ? Don’t Join Before You Read This!

February 25, 2011
By

In this short but detailed review of Monavie, I will go into the company’s background, the products, the compensation plan and what it truly takes to succeed in a company like Monavie. I also want to disclose up front that I am not a Monavie distributor, but after being approached dozens of times by ambitious Monavie distributors trying to pitch the product, I decided to research the company myself and look into whether or not the company is a scam or not.

Monavie is a privately-held, health and wellness company that markets nutritional products through a network marketing, or multilevel marketing, model. It was started in 2005 and is currently headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. The founder of the company, and current CEO, Dallin Larsen was a senior executive for other nutritional network marketing companies like Dynamic Essentials and Usana.

In September of 2009, Monavie was ranked #18 on Inc 500′s “Fastest Growing Companies In The US”. And, in November of 2009, Dallin Larsen was named National Entrepreneur Of The Year For Emerging Markets by Ernst & Young. Monavie also remains to be a debt free company while maintaining its profitability.

The Products

Monavie markets a liquid nutritional supplement that contains 19 different fruits, with it’s key ingredient being the acai berry. According to Monavie’s corporate website, the acai berry provides powerful antioxidant support, joint support, heart health and overall health and well-being. The product comes in different forms:

Monavie Original – Provides overall antioxidant support
Monavie Active – Provides extra support for joint health
Monavie Pulse – Provides extra support for your cardiovascular system
Monavie E – Energy drink version of Monavie
Monavie Kosher – Kosher certified version of Monavie
Monavie Mun – Provides support to your immune system

In addition, the Original, Active and Pulse versions come in gel form. Now, as far as the products ability to do what it says it can do depends on who you talk to. While there are people who swear by the product, there are also people who claim that the “juice” didn’t benefit them. There has been clinical studies performed by Monavie to prove the validity of the product. I definitely advise that if you’re thinking about joining Monavie, that you do your due diligence on this topic thoroughly.

The Business Opportunity

Company stats and product aside, as a person considering Monavie, the business opportunity itself is something you need to spend some time looking into.  The compensation plan has nine different ways you can get paid, along with incentives like a luxury car program, private jet credits and luxurious trips to top resorts. The compensation plan works on a binary model, but has a matching check feature on your unilevel team. With that said, the autoship requirement is pretty high compared to other network marketing companies. And, while that isn’t a negative thing per se, it is something to consider if you’re looking to build residual income for the long haul. Again, just do your research on the capability of an average rep to stay on their autoship. If the answer you find works for you, great. If the answer is something you’re not satisfied with, that doesn’t make Monavie a bad opportunity, you might just have to get creative with how you build your organization.

By far, the most impressive thing about Monavie is the sheer amount of people who are earning in excess of million a year. As of this year, there are 34 reps who have disclosed their income to be over .5 million a year. And while I can think of only one other company that has double that number of 7-figure a year earners, that number is very impressive since most network marketing companies have under 10 reps who cashflow over million a year.

One thing you need to keep in mind, if you are considering to join Monavie is that while there are a record number of top producers at the company, many (not all) of Monavie’s elite leaders were top producing leaders who had existing downlines of thousands of people that they brought with them to the company. And, while this does not diminish the Monavie opportunity for a brand new person just joining the industry, you still need to be aware of this so you don’t have misleading expectations of yourself coming in and starting from scratch.

In closing, it’s my professional opinion that Monavie is an incredibly solid and stable company that markets a high-quality product. It also provides a tremendous amount of leverage with it’s compensation plan. As I stated earlier, there are a record number of top producers in the company. With that said, there are also more than 60,000 reps in the company earning less than a week.  What’s the difference between the highly successful and those that are struggling? Well, those that are successful learned how to position themselves as leaders and market the right way. As good as the opportunity is, if you can’t do these two things, you’re dead in the water.

Jaime Soriano wrote this Third Party Monavie Review to provide a resource for people looking into the Monavie business. To see how 3 of his friends sponsored 300 reps into Monavie in a few short weeks, visit Jaime Soriano’s MLM Training

They ask questions like, “What am I putting in my body?” Often times, people are just curious and are surprised to find what is in a supplement. Luckily, the Acai berry side effects are very minimal.

To clear up some common rumors, the Acai berry is naturally grown. Most often, it is produced in Brazil or near the Amazonian region. It contains things commonly found in foods that North Americans eat regularly; antioxidants, various vitamins and minerals, and simple sugars. In fact, most people would be shocked to find out that they are already eating much of what this natural fruit has to offer, just in a much smaller quantity.

Because many people are weary of toxins in their food, lots of people forget that the Acai is just a simple fruit, after all. There are not added ingredients and the powdered berry is placed inside a capsule. In addition, Acai berries have been available for sale for years prior. Only with the new health craze and spotlight on Oprah and Dr. Oz have they become extremely popular.

Where to buy Acai Berry Diet Pills – I Don’t Want Any Acai Weight Loss Scam!

February 21, 2011
By

Acai berry diet pills are a great method to reduce weight in a healthy manner, however, you do have to be cautious so that you are not cheated when acquiring acai supplements.

For a start, if you have read all the details of any offer, you will know that most of the time, such offers are not rip-offs. You can count on getting a sample of acai for the cost of shipping and handling but you also need to read the fine print to understand the additional costs that may ultimately be involved. You are signed up for a trial plan but when the plan is done, they will send you more products and bill the same credit card that you initially used for the trial.

If you have decided not to continue after the trial period, it is therefore your responsibility to cancel the subscription so that they stop sending the acai berry and avoid getting charged each month. In other words, you will be aware that this is a legitimate offer by reading all the small print of the offer, where your credit card will be automatically charged for subsequent shipments if you do not tell the merchant to discontinue and therefore have no sound reason to get upset.

Please also know that there may be deviations in the quality of Acai offerings that you’ve in mind.

Be cautious of nonproprietary brands of acai where some makers indulge in cheap techniques for production and packaging. It is essential that you buy acai from a merchant who doesn’t heat process the fruit and ideally gets it freeze dried instead.

How to Use Acai Berry to Lose Weight – Why Some People Lose Weight and Others Don’t

February 21, 2011
By

Acai berry is a great weight loss supplement that helps you to lose weight fast. Yet there is a correct way to use acai supplements and an incorrect one. The reason some people don’t lose fat while taking acai isn’t because it doesn’t work but rather because they use it the wrong way. Below I will discuss how to use acai berry to lose weight fast.

Why Some People Can’t Lose Weight:

Some people do not experience weight loss when using acai, most of the time these people will blame the product for not working. However the real reason they didn’t lose weight is because they didn’t use it the way it is designed to be used.

As we all know, weight loss is a journey that is as much about the change of one’s physical appearance as it is about a one’s change as a person. You can’t just lose weight without changing as a person. If you decide to go to a gym three times a week, and actually do it, doesn’t it mean that your values have changed and personal health or physical appearance has become more important to you than it used to be? Same thing if you start using a healthy diet.

How to NOT use acai berry for weight loss:

People who don’t want to change in order to lose fat often use weight loss supplements as an excuse for not making any changes. Instead of going to a gym or changing their eating habits to the more healthy ones these people claim that they do not need to make any changes because a pill they are taking will make them lose weight.

Unfortunately there is no pill that can do that. No die pill can over come one’s lack of exercise and poor eating habits. The sad thing is that most of the people already know this, yet they choose to delude themselves into believing that this time it will work. That they will finally lose weight without changing anything about their life styles.

How to use acai berry for weight loss:

The correct way is to use it the way it was meant to be – as a supplement. A supplement to the changes that you make to your life style in order to lose weight. A healthy diet or going to a gym, taking a yoga class to release stress and relax are all life style changes that will result in weight loss. And acai berry can offer quite a bit of help and result in faster weight loss. However it is a supplement and as such is meant to supplement these changes, not replace them.

If you want to get in better shape and experience fast weight loss, you need to understand that it will require certain changes and adjustments in your values. Yes, acai berry capsules can make some of those changes significantly easier (like switching to a healthy diet.) But the changes you make are more important – they are the foundation of your weight loss.

Think you are ready to make the needed changes and lose the weight you always wanted to lose? Then DO IT! The only one stopping you from having the body you always wanted is yourself. Of course, don’t forget to get your acai berry products to help with some of those changes and for over all quicker weight loss results.

Acai Berry – Don’t Fall For The Scam!

February 21, 2011
By

Scams come and go in the supplement industry, and while apparently this one has been going on a while, it’s a big one. Acai Berry a berry from South America, which like all “miracle foods” before it, promises to cure pretty much everything, is right at the heart of a scam which has cost the US public millions of dollars and a lot of frustration.

Acai is sold for everything from weight loss, muscle building, and anti aging, to a cure for cancer.

Minus of course a drop of real science to support the claims and marketed as “the world’s No. 1 super-food” and other BS… Interestingly, this scam has two faces, one the product itself, the other, the real biggie, the way it’s billed. Par for the course with such products, the marketing hype far surpasses the science.

Let’s talk about the billing scam first.

Although not only associated with Acai products, this scam seems to have gone hand in hand with Acai products presumably because people are so desperate to lose weight they will buy into anything that looks like it’s got the edge.

The scam often goes like this:

You click on some tantalizing advert somewhere and find a web site offering a free bottle of product or a website showing you where you can get a free bottle of the supplements.

Generally speaking you initially end up on a fake blog, you can spot them a mile away, they tend to be called something like “Janets-weightlossblog.com” ( I made that up, no idea if it exists).

The blog / website shows faked testimonials, and before and after photos of “Janet” which have clearly been edited with software like Adobe Photo Shop, Janet, by the way, doesn’t exist, never did, Janet is typically just a stock photo grabbed from the internet, the name a figment of the scammers imagination.

“Janet” then goes on to explain how she tried everything, blah blah, and how she set up the website just to “help” people out like her, she then goes on to explain how she used this amazing product and how you can get a bottle for free and also lose 30lbs in 30 days.

The websites often show Youtube videos of Oprah or a major news outlet, supposedly correlating the ridiculous claims about the product. Fortunately for the scammers I guess nobody actually clicks and plays the videos because they tend to have absolutely nothing to do with the claims being made by the website promoting the product.

In fact it would seem Oprah and other celebrities are trying to sue the firms promoting Acai using their images or suggesting they support their ludicrous claims.

Back to the fake blogs.

The person who set this fake blog/website up then gets paid by the advertiser everytime somebody takes out the free trial. (Note, I’ve also actually seen them setup fake newspaper websites as well as blogs, these guys are pretty tricky).

You’re probably thinking, how can they get paid if the product’s being given away for free, read on my friends….

It’s only “FREE” on the surface, it’s actually anything but FREE.

Here’s the nasty part of the Acai Berry rebill scam.

They charge a “nominal fee for shipping and handling”, like , this has little to do with the handling and everything to do with getting your credit card details.

What follows then are unauthorized credit card charges – some up to per month – that can’t be stopped.

This has happened all over the ‘net, and people have had to cancel their credit cards to get it to stop. Sure, some companies have gotten nailed for this, but many still get away with it. For example, according to an ABC News Report:

“FWM Labs, based in Hollywood, Fla., maintained a Web site promoting acai capsules. The site offered a “free” sample for a nominal fee for shipping and handling.

What followed, authorities say, were unauthorized monthly credit card charges that couldn’t be stopped.

WPLG, ABC’s Miami affiliate, tried to talk with the company in person – and was referred to the company’s attorneys.

Alleged victims said they had to cancel their credit cards to get charges to stop. FWM finally agreed to pay 0,000 in penalties, refund millions to customers and stop its allegedly misleading marketing.”

The Take Home Lesson on the Rebill Saga..

Lesson here folks, nothing of this nature is truly free, so if you see one of these fake blogs or fake newspaper sites offering free product that you just have to give your credit card info to cover shipping and handling fees – be it an acai product or other – be wary.

There’s nothing wrong with paying monthly for legit supplements, or a wine club or indeed a myriad of other things but if you end up at one of these fake blogs then run a mile, “Janet” never existed, your card will be rebilled for huge amounts each month, you won’t be able to contact the company, they won’t take your calls, the only option will be to cancel your card.

I should note that these guys running the Acai Berry rebill scam also rebadge Acai Berry for numerous uses, weight loss, colon cleanse, muscle building, there’s even some running for penis enlargement and confidence boosters. Beware, these guys come in many forms, but the websites are pretty easy to suss out.

So what of acai itself? Yes, it’s a berry – like many others – loaded with anti oxidants, and like many such fruits, may have some potential health benefits. It has no real weight loss effects, will not cure cancer, will not improve your libido, etc.

Food scientist in the U.S., at Texas A&M University, Dr. Steve Talcott sums it up well in the ABC News report

“It’s not a miracle berry, unfortunately. It is superior in antioxidants; it does have a very high antioxidant capacity. There is some really unique chemistry to the fruit. But it’s not a drug. It’s not a miracle, cure-all fruit. I mean this is a dietary component. The recommendation is to incorporate these fruits into our diet, but don’t use them as drugs.”

Brink Bottom Line: Acai – like most “super foods” that make ridiculous promises not supported by the science, are usually sold via multi level marketing companies (MLM) and or fly by night ‘net based companies, and my faith in both is non existent. Acai, like most dark fruits, berries, etc is high in anti oxidants, and perfectly healthy as part of an overall nutrition and exercise plan, but don’t get swept up in the marketing hype, and what ever you do, don’t fall for the re bill scam by giving out your credit card info for a “free” bottle of product.

If somebody you trust doesn’t recommend it and it’s asking for your card details and you found it from some scammy looking blog, then my advice – run a mile in the opposite direction.

If you are tired of the scams and junk, learn what really works and what’s supported by the science see Acai Scams Exposed

Don’t Get Caught Up in Methadone Addiction

February 16, 2011
By

In some medical situations, a doctor or physician might order Methadone for a patient who is experiencing chronic pain or illness. Normally, Methadone is not generally prescribed for moderate or weak levels of pain because there are other, much safer medications that can be used such as Hydrocodone. But in some rare cases a doctor will prescribe Methadone when the pain is severe and it keeps popping back up, even when the patient is using a painkiller. Methadone lasts a long time in the body and therefore is a good choice when the pain is severe and keeps breaking through other medications that have been tried.

This “sticky factor” is a huge part of what makes Methadone so addictive. It is very, very difficult to stop taking Methadone once you are on it. The problem is that the drug is so sticky that it tends to cling to your opiate receptors in your brain for much longer than other opiate painkillers would. This makes for an agonizing and slow withdrawal process.

Keep in mind that treating chronic pain with an opiate is a bit like trying to use alcohol as an anesthetic for surgery. Consider this analogy for a while and you will start to see how painkillers are working in our brain in order to try and treat physical pain. What is actually occurring is that the actual site of the pain is not being treated at all, but instead the opiate drugs are fogging the physical brain so much that the person simply stops being concerned with any pain that their body might be in at the time. Getting to this point when a person is in intense pain means that you have to seriously medicate them to the point of being practically oblivious. Imagine using enough alcohol with a patient to properly prepare them for surgery and you have an idea of just how “out of it” a person can be on Methadone.

People think that Heroin is the worse opiate drug in the world and they think it is the most addictive. In some ways this might actually be the case. But if you look at the severity of cold turkey withdrawal, Methadone is actually worse than Heroin. When coming off of Heroin, anyone can go to a treatment center or drug rehab, stop using the drug immediately, and have medications administered that can control most of the detox symptoms. With Methadone, if people are taking a high enough amount of the drug, then this is really not even possible. The only way to avoid an intense and miserable withdrawal is to slowly ween the addict down in their dosage over time so that they are only taking a minimal amount of Methadone. This is not easy for some addicts to do in itself, especially if they have chronic pain issues that they are dealing with also. In fact, it can be very difficult to get off Methadone, even with this slow weening down process in a person with no chronic pain.

Don’t Fall For These Weight Loss Gimmicks!

January 23, 2011
By

Have you heard about the new weight loss patch? You wear it behind your ear, and it speeds up your metabolism and helps you control your appetite. It sounds pretty reasonable, doesn’t it? After all, if someone had told you five years ago that you could quit smoking by sticking a circle of fabric on your skin would you have believed them?

Unfortunately, this one isn’t true. According to Dr. Michael Myers, who maintains the popular web site weight.com, it’s just another of the hoaxes that clever promoters are using to bilk you out of your money. Weight loss is a gold mine, and unscrupulous operators will use any gimmick to convince you that their product is the magic cure that will melt away your pounds without any effort on your part.

Here are a few of the current weight loss gimmicks and the truth about them.

The Diet Patch

Transdermal delivery of medication is a reality, and there are certain medications that are absorbed readily through the skin. However, the most common active ingredient used in diet patches on the market is ‘fucus vesiculosus’, a seaweed that is a major source of iodine. Iodine was once a recommended treatment for obesity, because it helps promote healthy thyroid function. It was abandoned because of side effects and the untoward effects when treatment with iodine ceases. In other words, it’s an outdated medication being revived for delivery in a new way.

Wash your fat away with slimming soap!

The claim is that this is an ancient Chinese soap that contains a unique blend of ingredients derived from seaweed which will ‘emulsify’ the fat. Further, it comes in several different versions, including one that is specifically meant to give you ‘beautiful thighs’. In all truth, the ingredients sound like they’d do a lovely job of softening and toning your skin, but there’s not an ounce of research quoted anywhere that can be checked for the results. Until I see the proof, I’ll just figure that any weight loss resulted from vigorous scrubbing – not the ingredients!

Magnetic Weight Loss… earrings

Yes, earrings. According to the press, it’s another ancient Chinese Secret that has to do with balancing the magnetism in the body. By wearing a magnet near the ear, you can suppress hunger, increase metabolism, speed up the healing process and reduce pain. Again, though there’s mention of ‘studies’, none are cited, and I couldn’t find any in any medical journals. It won’t kill you, at least, and the earrings are pretty, but I wouldn’t put much stock in their weight loss properties.

All of these new weight loss discoveries should be filed in the “Yeah right” file, right next to sauna wraps, copper bracelets, and electro-slimming belts. If it sounds too good to be true, remember, it probably is. The only gimmick to weight loss is to eat less and move more!
