What Life and Him Had to Offer Me: Part 2

Diana was walking Rose to her soccer practice, because she had nothing better to do. “Ok, don’t forget to order the boxers for Chris” she reminded Rose. “I know” responded Rose. Her friends had asked her if she could order them and pretend they were Carlos’s so no one will suspect of their plan. “Ok, but seriously DON’T FORGET, this is really important, it’s going to be an epic joke” said Diana excited. “Bet so” responded Rose giggling. “Well ok, you’re going to be late” said Diana “bye. Love you.” “Bye, love you too” responded Rose. They hugged and Diana left. Rose was heading to the locker room but it was locked. “Things were stolen, so they had to close the locker room” said a mailman coming out of the coach’s office. “Oh” responded Rose. The skinny guy just stood there observing her.

To break the awkward silence Rose said” well ok thanks,” and walked away. She had only taken a couple of steps when she remembers something and turns around, the guy was still standing there still observing her ” oh I forgot umm do you know where girls soccer practice is today?” asked Rose trying not to make eye contact with him. He pointed towards the other side of the building. “Thanks” she said. She started walking away. He looks familiar she thought to herself, then click she remembered from where. She had seen him at her mom’s party.

“You’re late” her coach said to her. “I know sorry” she responded back. “Why aren’t you dressed?” he asked concerned. “Oh sorry its cause the locker room is closed.” She said. “Well didn’t Carlos tell you that the locker room wasn’t going to be open anymore?” he asked. “No he didn’t” she said. “I was looking for you the whole day” said Carlos from the bleachers. She hadn’t realized he was there. “I hadn’t seen you since your mom’s party” he said “so I couldn’t tell you, plus I couldn’t find you”. “There’s no time for talking, go change in the girl’s bathroom.” ordered the coach. “Alone?” asked Rose. “NO, with the whole town” he said sarcastically. “Here I’ll go with you” offered Carlos. Rose hated to be alone. That was one of her biggest fears. She was a big scary cat, and she hated that. “So you want to hangout today?” asked Carlos. “Yeah, where?” she asked. “I don’t know how about the new buffet that opened across the street?” he said opening the door. “Yes sir” she said laughing and lifting her hand up to her forehead like a solider.

After practice Carlos and Rose headed to the buffet. “Dang this place is expensive” she told Carlos. “Suck it up” he said playing around. She gave him a soft shove. They were seated when the waitress came. The waitress being tall, brunette and slim eyeballed Rose. She was used to it. She usually got that when she went out with Carlos and girls thought they were going out. For all she cared they could all go out with him. As long as they don’t hurt him (wish most of the time didn’t happened), and as long as they don’t take THEIR friendship away. She really didn’t want to loose him as a friend. While the waitress stood their flirting with Carlos. Rose was going to pig-out for food. Just as she was about to get up she saw the look. The look was something that Carlos and she always did. He gave her the look when he didn’t like the girl and wanted to get away. Once she saw it she knew what to do. “Baby, hurry up. I am starving.” Rose said in the most girlish voice she could do. “I am going babe” he said standing up and excusing himself. He headed towards Rose. The waitress just turned around and shrugged.
